On 22-25 April 2024, 3 Manila Polo Club archers Justin Ongking, Alex Siy and Noelle Tai; along with 5 archers from Sen. Renato Compañero Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School (Dexter Tahum, Angelo Delos Santos, Emman Tinga, Marie Danga, and Arian Valencia) represented Taguig in the NCR Archery meets held at the University of the East Caloocan. Braving the heat, the 8 archers cheered each other on as they each completed the qualifying rounds for 70M, 60M, 50M and 30M for recurve throughout the first 2 days of competition. Excitement grew on the 3rd day of competition as the 8 teammates worked collaboratively on the team and mix events, earning Taguig bronzes for both the men’s and women’s teams. Our young archers really enjoyed the experience of competing and meeting other archers in the metro. They came out of the week long competition inspired and are looking forward to the next opportunity to compete together!
