This young MPC dependent is making a splash in his own field. We caught up with Moss Laygo to find out his aspirations, passion, and how he motivates himself to reach for his dreams!
Moss R. Laygo
Advocacy / Niche:
My advocacy would be promoting and applying climate action – raising awareness towards mental health and its negative stigma and discrimination, and building and promoting a gender-inclusive environment for all people.
What is your passion / cause?
As a nineteen-year-old, I try to keep an open perspective towards life and doing the things I love and enjoy, so my passions are spread out from different kinds of habits and activities. Recently, I got into modeling which is something I’ve come to appreciate and enjoy as I do more shoots and shows. I love a good sweat and can’t help but feel that engaging in a healthy diet and taking off on a good run is synonymous with my everyday life. I love enveloping myself in a good book whenever spare time arises. And whether it’s for academic or leisure purposes, I enjoy sitting down and writing whatever it is that comes to mind.
Please tell us what initiatives you are doing in the field of modeling. When did you start?
Well, recently, I’ve signed up with a modeling agency that is doing its very best in guiding me. I’ve been maintaining a healthy lifestyle for a good two years now and have assisted my friends throughout the past few months who have begun their journey in getting into the habit of healthy living, and I’m also currently a sophomore in college and use this opportunity to work on my reading and writing interests.
What fuels you to do the work that you do to achieve your dream?
Forming goals and setting action plans allow me to feel determined in accomplishing tasks and achievements I put out for myself. I think having a sense of direction (not always specific) is enough to remind me to take those extra hours to achieve something. I also think my friends and family have given me that extra push throughout the years to achieve my goals and dreams.
How do you feel when you work towards your dream?
Honestly, I appreciate the process as much as I do the goal itself. Working on my dreams just carries me with a sense of determination and enjoyment I don’t get when it comes to other aspects of my life.
At your young age, what are you hoping to accomplish / share to the world with the work / cause that you are doing?
At a young age, I’m really just focusing on what I can accomplish now. I won’t have the opportunity to be a nineteen-year-old again. So whether it’s advocating for a cause, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, modeling, or improving and excelling in academia, I just want to work on the best me I can form at my age.

Kudos to Moss for showing that what people put their minds into, they can accomplish. We hope you enjoyed this inspirational story from your very own MPC family.
