Just because the year is ending, doesn’t mean we will stop welcoming new members to our MPC team! Our three newest additions are nothing short of skilled and determined, making them the perfect fit for our community, like vital parts of a well-oiled machine.
Alvin Seminiano
With a degree in Industrial Technology and experience in Hotel Building Maintenance in the past, Alvin entered the Manila Polo Club as one of our trusty electricians. With the goal to be successful in all facets of his field, he takes each day as an opportunity to learn, maximize the skills that he has garnered over the course of his career, and translate it into something meaningful to the community and business.
How do your friends describe you?
My friends and family describe me as an easygoing person, and that I get along well with pretty much anyone. I am often perceived as a creative and fast learner as well. One trait about myself that I can proudly share is that I always put my best foot forward and express the desire to learn new things even though it may seem difficult at first.
Do you have any sports/hobbies?
I love to play basketball. During my free time, I make sure to bond with my family and friends too!
Words YOU live by – and how you apply them to your life.
I live by two quotes: “Do the best you can until you know better” and “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”.
I always believed that hard work is the key to success. Without the will to work hard and heart to do better each time, success is nearly impossible.
Rachel Isidro
Rachel was always quite an extroverted person, though often taken as shy at first glance. It is no wonder why she has the perfect people skills to be a purchasing assistant here at Polo Club. While she is enjoying her new role, she spends most of her free time getting lost in books and movies, if not singing and dancing to her favorite tunes.
What motivates you to get up and go to work every day?
The thing that motivates me the most is the desire to earn more money to support my family. It is important for me to give back to them for everything they have sacrificed for me in the past, and to secure a stable future for us as well.
What’s your idea of a perfect day at work?
Some might call me a workaholic but a perfect day definitely means that i have met all my deadlines, reached targets and when someone recognizes me for a job well done!
Words YOU live by – and how you apply them to your life.
“The pain that you’ve been feeling can’t compare to the joy that’s coming.”
I love this quote because it always reminds me to calm down whenever I am going through hardships. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us.
Jerry Frades
Finishing his studies with a specialty in Electronic Technology, Jerry had landed a job at Gator Cable Construction as a lineman, and had even run his very own electronic repair shop. Now, he shares his expertise as an electrician here at Manila Polo Club, with the determination to conquer everyday with efficiency and passion.
What’s an exciting part of your job that you look forward to every day?
I think the most exciting part of my job is being able to see the smiles of our colleagues or clients whenever I fix their telephone lines or whatever electronic appliances handed to me for fixing or troubleshooting.
What’s your biggest takeaway from past jobs that will help you with Manila Polo Club?
My familiarity and knowledge in cabling, electronic and electrical works help me a lot in coping with my job at Manila Polo Club.
What type of music do you listen to?
I listen to love songs, new wave, reggae and jazz music.
And to think that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Get to know more of our new members by greeting them with a warm smile in case you cross paths one of these days!
