Greetings!
Honing skills and fostering a competitive spirit among our athletes remain to be a pillar in the Club, and we are happy that we were finally able to host more exciting sporting events in October. We had a monthlong Squash championship, an intense two-day Archery tournament, and five Jump Shows for our equestrians, including the Halloween-themed Spooktacular Jump Show that welcomed attendees who enjoyed the creative costume display of our riders, as well as the food booths in the area.
This month also saw the revival of our Halloween traditions at the Club. We were delighted with the amount of support we received for our Graveyard Gala and Undead Ahead events held on the 30th of October. Despite the hurdles brought by Typhoon Paeng, the main Clubhouse was packed with hundreds of excited children and their parents, all dressed up for the happy occasion. A total of 596 attendees were treated to an adorable costume parade, game booths, food stations, and an enchanting magic show during the Graveyard Gala, and it ended with the traditional trick or treat event. Meanwhile, 117 thrill-seekers enjoyed the escape-room style Zombie horror house, as well as the raffle that followed.
Executive Order nos. 3 & 7 on voluntary wearing of face masks prompted our return to normalcy, not only within the walls of MPC, but in our everyday lives as well. These enable us to bring back old habits and routines, allowing Members to frequent the Club again, and inspiring us to celebrate a fruitful holiday season with more events for Members to enjoy.
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the return of our traditional Pre-Christmas Cocktails and Christmas tree-lighting on 28 November, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Rotunda. We also have a round of holiday dining events to celebrate Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve at the Club.
