Our Library’s Book Spotlight for this week is “Educated”, a memoir and winner of the 2019 Alex Award by the American Library Association, written by American author Tara Westover.
Educated is a retrospective account of the struggle for self-invention. It is a tale that revolves on family loyalty, and of the misery that comes from severing ties with those closest to you. Tara Westover has crafted a compelling coming-of-age chronicle that highlights the value of education: the perspective to see one’s life through new eyes, and the will to change it.
